Ever since my daughter got interested in photography in high school I have slowly but surely been working to become a part-time professional photographer. She is now a senior at the School of Arts Institute in Chicago and I have made some progress on several fronts.
I submit stock photos to two different sites; iStockphoto http://www.istockphoto.com/user_view.php?id=1316972 and Dreamstime http://www.dreamstime.com/Leswaller_info. I also want to submit photos to Shutterstock, but their submission requirements are extremely strict and I need a larger portfolio to submit to them.
I also have two different photographer accounts, one on Model Mayhem http://www.modelmayhem.com/871524 and one on Jurgita http://www.jurgita.com/photographers-id255996.html.
I also have a flickr account http://www.flickr.com/people/leswaller/ and a SmugMug account where I have photos that are for sale http://leswaller.smugmug.com/. Eventually, I will bring the SmugMug account photos onto this site and offer them for sale directly from my site.
This year has been pretty good considering I am working a full-time job and have had some minor health issues that had to be addressed. I look forward to continued progress on my journey to becoming a professional photographer in the future.
