Mason Resnick has provided a list of Ò50 Masters of PhotographyÓ on his web site, as well as, the references he used to choose those 50. I encourage you to check out his website at your leisure. In the meantime, what I have done with that list is provide the top 5 selling books of each author to make it easier to select a book from a single web source. Due to the number of photographers, I have divided this into five parts, each part having ten photographers in alphabetical order. I have provided an index to all of the photographers so you can easily jump directly to your favorite. You can use this list to go out to your local book store and purchase the books directly or borrow them from your local library, as well. If you prefer to order your copy through Amazon.com, I have provided the links necessary here. I am an Amazon associate, so if you make a purchase directly through my links it helps me to improve my web pages because I am getting a return on my time invested in building these pages.
I am adding links to the best sites that I can find, using Google as a search engine, that will allow you to view some representative photographs of each of the master photographers for free. I am not affiliated with any of the photographer site links on these pages. I merely wanted to have a place to go where people can see more representative examples of the photographers' photos.
This is Part I of V
Ansel Adams The site The History Place - Best of Ansel Adams, has 25 examples of Ansel Adams photographs that you can look at online for free.
